A Polish Heart by Stephanie Burkhart
My "sweet" contemporary romance, A Polish Heart, takes place in Warsaw, Poland during Easter. Darrin Riverton is an architect who takes an assignment to go to Warsaw and oversea the construction of the National Stadium, a 55,000 soccer stadium in the heart of the city. His Polish interpreter, Sofia Buraczynski, helps him find his way around Poland and opens his heart in a way it hasn't been before.
If Hollywood called and wanted me to cast the movie I'd have to pick Chris Evans for Darrin. He's the perfect age and drop dead gorgeous.
For Sofia, I'd pick Edyta Sliwinska. She was on Dancing With the Stars for the first 10 seasons and I have to admit, I miss her. I loved her dancing – very graceful, fluid, and her personality on screen was so open and honest. She was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1981 so she's perfect for my Polish heroine, "Sofia."
Edyta wanted to dance since she was 10. After achieving success in Poland as a ballroom dancer, she moved to America in 2000. In 2005, she joined the cast of Dancing with the Stars.
She still blogs and you can find some of her blog posts at: https://www.facebook.com/dancingpros/notes

Why did I set "A Polish Heart" in Warsaw? I love to write international contemporaries and I knew from my own Polish roots that the nation had strong Easter customs.
